Job Description for IBM Off Campus Drive 2023 for Technical Support Engineer:

• IBM Off Campus Drive 2023 hiring freshers for Technical Support Engineer position
• As Technical Tech Support Engineer, you are responsible to effectively handle difficult customer interactions and challenging customer problems without the need for supervisory intervention
• Maintain poise and professionalism even with very difficult and demanding customers.
• The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting customer issues with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management in particular the ELM Solutions and will need a strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex cutting edge systems and technical configuration in an English-speaking environment.

Degree

• BTech
• ME
• MTech
• MCA

Skills required for IBM Off Campus Drive for Support Engineer Position:

Required Technical Skills:

• Graduated in Computing Science/technical studies
• Good spoken and written English
• Good communication skills;
• Knowledge of the software development process: requirements management, source code management, defect management and software testing, Eclipse or Microsoft Visual user interfaces.
• Knowledge of Application or web servers (Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere)
• Computer network basics;
• Database basics;
• Problem-solving abilities;
• Ability to work in a team.
• Customer facing role which includes rotational shifts (No Night shift) and a Non-Standard Work Week (Weekly Offs may not be on Saturdays / Sundays)
• Working as a focal for the assigned set of customer(s)

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Required Technical and Professional Expertise with relevant experience of 0-3 years
• Core Java/ JEE preferred or any programming language proficiency
• Troubleshooting skills esp Java code/ logs/ Database troubleshooting skills (DB2 or Oracle)/ Troubleshooting JMS/ MQ
• Customer-facing role includes shifts/weekend support on a rotation basis
• Quick learner and ability to pick up new products on on-prem and cloud
• Bachelor's Degree
